Academic programs are at the core of the Welwitchia Health Training Center’s commitment to providing students the highest-quality education.
WHTC Schools facilitate university-wide undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate degree program development and refinement, ensuring that all new and revised academic programs are in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Namibian Health Professions Councils (where applicable), the Higher Education Act, 2003 (Act No. 26 of 2003), and relevant state legislation.
Where academic programs may share the same basic sciences module, e.g., the module Anatomy, the WHTC ensures that all academic programs share that particular module – at least during pre-specialization or pre-clinical phases. By offering uniform modules across all Schools, uniformity is assured, horizontal mobilization and credit transfer across Schools can be facilitated, and offering of that specific module is more cost effective. No modules are duplicated, ensuring collaboration among Schools. Schools may differentiate and elaborate on the module content by adding module-specific content to the curriculum, e.g. Applied Anatomy for Nursing, or for Medical Sciences..
